Blood. Sweat. Tears.

Before
This room is on the top floor of our garden house and was used for storage of EVERTHING from old refrigerators to Ensigns from the 1900's. I decided with a little TLC, it could be turned into something wonderful!

After three months of sanding (on my hands and knees), stain, paint, more paint, plaster, lots of windex, very large shop vac, mirrors and a bar....we have

MY NEW BALLET STUDIO!!!!

middle of no where

While traveling to Marfa, TX, we were on an open highway with miles and miles of pasture, until we passed a PRADA shoe boutique! We all did a double take and had to turn around to make sure we weren't haullcinating. Yep, sure enough... Prada.

October

I LOVE Halloween. Growing up we used to make these ghosts with tootsie pops and kleenex. My sister gave me the greatest idea to spray paint a branch and make a spooky tree. I added the rocks to stabilize the tree so we spray painted those silver and threw in some spider rings.

Broken!

Yep, the first of many to come (they say)...my first experience with a broken bone. Brave little boy had an accident on the trampoline and wasn't X-rayed until the next afternoon. Half of the family thought it was a sprain and the other half (me included) knew it was broken. 4 weeks of wearing a full cast will be torture for this little boy!

When Mom says NO, call Grandpa.

Benton absolutely ADORES his "Gannpa."
We had fun spending some time with Grandma and Grandpa Matheny last weekend. They were nice enough to drive a few hours to meet us for a JSA football game. We wish we had more time to hang out.
I don't see any resemblance...Do you?? HA.
What happens at Grandpa's Stays at Grandpa's. :)

Alumni Football Game 2009

Team Shot
My kids all make the same "cheese" face.
Benton found a new love...cheerleading!
He also made a new best friend. A Jamacan, semi-pro, basketball player. He shared his hair style with Benton.

The expenses of having children!

Benton flushed a toy car down the toilet...
Tori broke a friend's bike...
Alex broke/disabled the automatic window in the backseat of the truck...
All three of them are responsible for the pictures that have been taken in this post. Good thing I didn't buy those designer jeans. I need that $$ for all these repairs!
