our trip to pacheco

We thought we'd take a nice, relaxing trip up to the mountains to enjoy a Saturday afternoon. It started out well until Garrett thought his "stupid red truck" could make it through the mud. After ignoring the boulders in the road...warning us not to take this road...we got stuck! Not once...but, TWICE! Good thing we had two other 4x4 trucks there to help us out. Thank you Cade and Trent. I think Garrett is finally realizing that his 17 year old truck isn't a "spring chick" anymore.

The Entourage of RED trucks!
My little cuddle bug!
Our little adventure when from bad to worse...we got rained out once we arrived to camp.
We huddled around the table...ate lunch...packed up and came home.
An adventure no one will forget. Memories to last a lifetime.

addiction

Step 1: admitting you have a problem.

Yes, I am addicted to buying swimming suits. I know this problem started the first year I became a lifeguard and it hasn't slowed down any since! Every year I purchase atleast 3-4 new bathing suits. Heck, I'll even buy them in the fall and winter. As you all know, I keep spare swim suits EVERYWHERE because you never know when you'll need one. Well, this year has been no different.

Step 2: INTERVENTION

I need help!! If Garrett sees this post...I'm in trouble. HA. These are some of the suits I have bought this year.

Monsters under the bed!

Tori and Alex were discussing how monsters live under the bed of naughty boys and girls. Alex then told Tori if she lights a candle or uses a night light she will be safe from any monsters. Kids say the darndest things. I love it!

birthday

Happy Birthday Garrett. I know you don't like all the fuss and attention but I LOVE giving it so you'll just have to cope. You are amazing and I am always caught off guard by your strength and determination. You are such a great example to me. I sit in awe as I watch these three little spirits we created together...what a perfect gift. Before I met you I created a list of qualities I wanted my future spouse to have. You meet ALL of them. I couldn't have found a more perfect companion to share my eternity with. Happy Birthday!

Imagination

My girls LOVE to play dress up. I was doing laundry today and had the sheets hung out to dry. Before I knew it the girls were playing in their new fortress.

I did it Mom! My first time...by myself! I had much help from Garrett and I am taking babysteps. Next week...raspberry jam.

Aunties

My kids LOVE their Aunties. Janelle is so animated and great to play with.
Louisa is their favorite care taker. They look up to her so much.
My girls fight for Auntie Rachel's love. Whenever she calls for me they get jealous. Then they ask if Rachel loves me more than them.
I have the best sisters ever! They make such great Aunties!

Yellow fever

Everynight as we would all get ready to go out, 3 out of 4 of us would usually show up wearing the same color...by chance! The 4th sister would feel left out and run upstairs to change. This happened almost EVERY night!!! Are we from the same tree or what?!

Barnes and Noble

Last night there was a "Twilight Ball" in honor of the new book. I went with my sisters-in-law and we were one of the first to get "Breaking Dawn." They released the book at midnight and we stayed to get our copy. Who knew a book store could throw such a bash!
