Thriller

I love Halloween. I used to hit ever Haunted House in UT. Trick-or-Treating isn't just for the kids...I think the parents get a kick out of seeing everyone dressed up so fun. My favorite part of this celebration is attending Odyssey's THRILLER. Those of you still in UT must go and see it. It is the best performance of the season!
I LOVE Halloween! I

Our annual Halloween Party

Tatoos

Garrett and I were busy getting ready for a costume party when Tori entered the room and saw that he had (temporary) tatoos on his arms. She freaked out and said, "Dad, that is UGLY! We don't get tatoos." He tried to explain they were for his costume but she was already too upset. The next thing we know Tori is calling his parents (Grandma and Grandpa Hatch) and asked for Grandpa to tell him that her dad got tatoos. I think she was looking for him to get punished but Grandpa just laughed.

Primary Program

It's that time of year again. I have been in the Primary for 5 years. This year I am the chorister. Tori is so excited to be the first primary child to get up and give their part. She has had it memorized for weeks. I am so proud of our primary children.

my favorite thing to do...too...

I gave Benton his first beater. This one was covered in cookie dough. I tried to get the picture of his nose and mouth crammed into the small opening trying to lick the frosting off from the inside. He LOVED it! All my kids fight over who gets the beater....frosting...cake batter...whipped cream...cookie dough...even bread dough.

"Mommy, my bleeded toes hurt"

This is what happens when you run around (bare foot) on a tennis court and trip and fall. Then on Sunday when you have all the kids dressed and ready for church, you realize your little girl can't wear her shoes because they hurt her "bleeded" toes. Once you remove the shoes her socks are already blood stained so she goes to church in stocking feet. Moral of the story.... WEAR YOUR SHOES!

...and the "Dinosaurs" WIN 16-13!

game time

Today is Homecoming at the JSA. The "alumni" have been asked to play against the Varsity football team for the Homecoming game because the opposing team backed out at the last minute. Our husbands were so excited for one last change to suit up and hit someone. This will be a GREAT game. I suggest the wives be there afterwards to help our (soon -to- be) very sore husbands walk off the field.

new.restaurant.in.town

Yesterday was Jeni's birthday. During exercise we asked her what she wanted. She said it would be nice to go out and eat but because of "security issues" we couldn't. So a few girls in town and I decided to make Jeni a restaurant HERE so she wouldn't have to be far from home to enjoy a restaurant style dinner. I must say it was a 5 Star surprise. Even Garrett was suprised how nice it turned out. Thanks for everyone's help. (We should really open up a restaurant.)

I tried to take pictures but NONE of them turned out. Sorry.

too quiet...

You know there is trouble when the kids are "too" quiet. Well, this is what I found when I noticed there was NO noise coming from Benton.

strawberries & champaign...or sparkling cider rather

Conference weekend was kicked-off HIGH CLASS! My wonderful brothers and sisters-in-law rolled out the red carpet. We were treated to chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling apple and grape juice while relaxing in the hot tub.
To top it off they lit TEEKI torches to set the ambience. It was wonderful. A bit of heaven. My dream come true. The best way to end a wonderful weekend.

The rejuvenated include: Mom, Dad Hatch,Trent, Anne, Travis, Tiffany, Garrett, BJ, Jeni, Cade, Randal, Christy.

Scandal

This weekend I found some RED shoes. I have been looking for RED shoes for awhile now and I found some for only $7.00! So I bought them. I didn't realize the scandal they would cause. Let's just say, after a lot of "Hatch" teasing, I've come to the conclusion that these shoes can't come out until "after dark."
