The things we do for our kids...
A typical Saturday my kids will BEG for friends to come and play. This Saturday, once their friends arrived, they were quickly bored so I decided to help them out. We played Beauty Salon. I pulled out all my old make-up and let them have at it while I styled their hair. Then I busted out all my nail polish and let them paint their fingers and toes. Afterward everyone was starving so we had homemade chocolate chip cookies and milk. By the end of the "play-date" I was exhausted but everyone had a good time.
Benton got in on the action too, until his dad got home and gave him a ball to play with instead of a lipstick.
What outing doesn't involve treats?? Life is too short to pass those by.

An evening out
Garrett and I attended a Murder Mystery Dinner Party on Halloween night. It was so fun to be able to play a character. Everyone got into it and played their rolls very well. Well worth it!
PS...I know it looks like I'm wearing a sleeveless dress but I am wearing a Black Modbe T-shirt. My arm is at a weird angle I guess.

costumes
Alex's class did a glow-in-the-dark tap dance to Monster Mash. I had to explain that if she cried, her make-up would wash off. She had a few moments that evening where she was holding back tears for fear of loosing her make-up. Once her performance was over she asked me if she could NOW cry. DRAMA!!
Tori, aka: Hannah Montana, with some school-mates in their Halloween costumes.
Benton the Elephant.
Happy Halloween!

Snow?
It snowed last night around 11:00pm. Garrett and I slipped out for a little drive around our sleeping town to watch the snow fall. Nothing is better than waking up to a white blanket of snow making everything look untouched and perfect.
