costumes

This year my Dance Co. put on a Halloween recital. Here is Tori representing our CHUCKY dance.

Alex's class did a glow-in-the-dark tap dance to Monster Mash. I had to explain that if she cried, her make-up would wash off. She had a few moments that evening where she was holding back tears for fear of loosing her make-up. Once her performance was over she asked me if she could NOW cry. DRAMA!!

Snow?

It snowed last night around 11:00pm. Garrett and I slipped out for a little drive around our sleeping town to watch the snow fall. Nothing is better than waking up to a white blanket of snow making everything look untouched and perfect.

Country Doctors

Benton finally got his cast off! Instead of going down town, waiting and waiting, paying a fee, etc., we decided to take matters into our own hands.
These were the tools used...
Benton wasn't too disturbed by all the commotion. Now, he is cast free thanks to Daddy and Grandpa Hatch!!!

Blood. Sweat. Tears.

Before
This room is on the top floor of our garden house and was used for storage of EVERTHING from old refrigerators to Ensigns from the 1900's. I decided with a little TLC, it could be turned into something wonderful!

After three months of sanding (on my hands and knees), stain, paint, more paint, plaster, lots of windex, very large shop vac, mirrors and a bar....we have

MY NEW BALLET STUDIO!!!!

middle of no where

While traveling to Marfa, TX, we were on an open highway with miles and miles of pasture, until we passed a PRADA shoe boutique! We all did a double take and had to turn around to make sure we weren't haullcinating. Yep, sure enough... Prada.

October

I LOVE Halloween. Growing up we used to make these ghosts with tootsie pops and kleenex. My sister gave me the greatest idea to spray paint a branch and make a spooky tree. I added the rocks to stabilize the tree so we spray painted those silver and threw in some spider rings.
