memories.my.mother.

Sundays are a day to catch-up and visit with family. I was able to visit with my mom and reminisce....

Mustard- Mom took us to a baseball game and during the 5th inning my mom got a little excited (with loaded hot dog in one hand). She started jumping up and down and soon the mustard from her hot dog slipped down onto the back of the women sitting in front of us...with a WHITE silk shirt on!!! Instead of recognizing the situation Mom pretended it wasn't her, however she was the ONLY one with a hot dog in her hand and directly behind the "victim". The women was NOT happy.

Uhaul- My mom was driving a uhaul (all by herself) from AZ to UT. On the way she decided to stop and buy a hamburger. She attempted to drive-thru only to discover the top of the uhaul was scraping the top of the drive-thru. To rectify the situation she threw the truck in reverse and was "outta there" leaving behind a damaged entrance to BurgerKing.
Shopping-Once mom bought a TON of groceries. While checking out she paid for the food and was handed her receipt. She took her change and receipt and walked out of the store...leaving all the groceries behind while double checking her receipt to make sure she wasn't over charged for anything!

Love you MOM! Life is always INTERESTING with you around.

alex's favorite dress

Should I hide it...burn it...give it away...she tries to wear it EVERYDAY! If she isn't wearing it first thing in the morning, she'll have it on before the day is over. Some how...some way!

love.you.to.death.

Tori is so sweet to Baby Benton. She loves him and kisses him and makes him laugh (until he cries). All of this affection is recieved well until the love'n doesn't STOP.

I know Tori is just being a good big sister but now whenever she aproaches...Benton SCREAMS. Just wait until Benton is BIGGER than Tori. Then we will see who likes receiving the "Loves."

modesty

Thank you Erica for reminding me that we need to have a FHE lesson on modesty. Alex (3) has decided my lingerie is the most beautiful dress-up she has ever seen. I then decided I'd better hide those articles of clothing. It didn't take her long before she found where they were hidden and had assembled a new outfit. She was so proud of her new beautiful clothes that she had to show Daddy. He freaked out...until she ran outside...then I freaked out!

brides

Me in my wedding gown.

Tori in my wedding gown.

Alex in my wedding gown.

I used to dress up in my mom's wedding gown all the time. I am so glad that I kept my dress so my girls can do the same. When I chose my dress I wanted something simple and timeless so if one of my daughters wanted to wear it they could and it wouldn't be too out-dated. I can't believe I already have two beautiful daughters. I guess I'd better start saving for their weddings. HA.

Hair Do or Hair Don't

I asked my sweet little girls if they would play with my hair. I love having my hair brushed or played with. Alex was so excited to "do Mommy's hair." As she started to brush my hair I entered a trance like state, enjoying every minute of it until there was a knock at the door. I jumped up and ran my fingers thru my hair only to discover that some white, thick, creamy substance was throughout the top of my hair.

Come to find out...Alex found a tube of diaper rash cream on the couch and thought it was hair cream. Viola...Mommy's new hair do. Now I have greasy, matted hair that will need several shampoos to get clean!
