My Birthday Trip

For my birthday I was flown to UT to spend ALONE time with all my siblings and my mom. We did some serious shopping and TONS of eating out. It was perfect. I love being with my family.

From top to bottom, left to right: Hung out with good friend Jess, my birthday cake, Weston, Sydney, Whitney, Jan and her BF in facial masks (he didn't want to miss out on the good stuff), breakfast at Kneaders, an early morning shot with Edward!

Updates...

Alex turned 5 and graduated from Pre-School. She lost her second tooth and is almost "water-proof." I am so proud of her and all that she has accomplished in her 5 short years. She is the most sensitive child I've ever known. She genuinely takes notice and interest in the people around her. Everywhere she goes, she spreads love. She will even stop to compliment store employees while out shopping with me.  I don't know what my life would be like without her. Happy Birthday Alex.

We celebrated her birthday with a pizza party at school and then cake and ice cream with the family.

Sister's Retreat

My darling husband is home taking care of our three children so I could escape for a Sister's Retreat in Utah for a week. Here is what we did... Swimming at the Homestead.

Lunch at the Grand America with Granny Walker and some fabulous shopping.

Sibling manni's and peddi's. Yes, Rob loves a good pedicure too. They are so relaxing!

Lunch with some girlfriends. We are all expecting too!

Brunch at the Blue Lemon. All six of us together again!

Janelle's last day of high school. She get's to speak at her graduation next week.

Bad Luck

I needed to write this down. I swear my husband has had the worst luck EVER in one month's time.

1. Chopped off his thumb.
2. After a long days work he walked into the house and a  moth flew into his ear and he couldn't get it out. He could hear it flapping around inside of his head.
3. His mom was giving him a ride out to the farm when the car started on fire.
4. He got two tractors stuck in the mud so they pulled out the bulldozer to remedy the problem only to get it stuck too.
5. He ran out to the farm before church to turn off the water and ran over a pipe, breaking it and causing water to explode everywhere.
6. His truck broke down.
7. He borrowed his dad's truck and it doesn't have brakes so Garrett ran into a cement pole.

If these things were happening to me, I would cry, but he has chosen to laugh at all his bad luck. Here's to hoping next month goes by without MORE bad luck!

Teeth

Alex (4) lost her first tooth! She has another one coming out soon too. I think she is going to catch up to Tori in no time.  The Tooth Fairy brought her $10 pesos in the form of several coins and she thought she hit the JACKPOT.

At the breakfast table Tori asked me how the Tooth Fairy made it to our house because her little friend Ryan had told her that he caught the Tooth Fairy by playing soft music, stuffed her in his tool box and then fed her to a snake! I had to hold back a laugh and explain that the Tooth Fairy is alive and well.

Pictures to come...

Get Smart!

Last night Benton was trying to get our little kitty out from under the bed, but every time he reached for the kitty he would get scratched....so he came up with a solution (on his own, I might add).

He came walking back into the bedroom with oven mitts on so he could retrive the cat without getting scratched. SMART! I would have never thought to do that.

Children's Day

Children's Day is a Mexican holiday where they celebrate all the children. The school gives them this day to run races, play games, feeds them lunch and gives them prizes. No work on Children's Day. This year we got rained out so we moved it into each classroom.

Benton found the candy right off the bat. That kept him busy most of the time.
They made the kids cute visors and played several indoor games with them like musical chairs, fruit basket, etc.
Alex got a little competitive playing musical chairs and didn't accept the fact when she lost her chair. HA.
Yes, they even made me play. Most of the time I had Benton on my lap, so I had to be quick. HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY!
