Family Picture and Thanksgiving

This year we had the whole Hatch Batch down for Thanksgiving. We were able to get a decent family picture, a first in 5 years. We've had a fun week of "controversial subjects," games, football, lots of food, and horses. These times call for great memories in the making. Happy Holidays.

Trips to El Paso

To be able to survive in another country we have to be able to escape to the "states" every once in awhile. Trips like this one entails malls, dining out, movies, ice cream, WalMart, more malls, mail and post offices, bank and gas stations. By the time we are done (shopping for 4 families) the vehicle usually looks like that! Thank Heaven Michele has a 12 passenger van. We were all packed in TIGHT on the way home. Viva Mexico!

Kid's quotes

Last night: Tori said, " Dad, I will start to obey you when it gets Christmas time."

She doesn't want to get stuck on the NAUGHTY LIST and has got all her bases covered.

Alex decided to show me how she learned how to count...in front of our HOME TEACHERS. Alex said, "Mommy has one...two...boobies. Yea, mommy!"

What would we do without children???

innocents

what do you tell your 5 year old when she asks you why jesus isn't answering her prayers? why. you ask. then she begins to explain that she has been praying every morning and night that daddy's crop will be okay and it isn't. how do you explain something you yourself have a hard time understanding? just have faith, little one, heavenly father knows what is best for us and knows what our family needs. we will be blessed. just have faith.

Mid-life crisis?

Happy 50th Dad! I am so glad we got to celebrate my dad's birthday while we were in Arizona this week. We were able to surprise him with the traditional cake and presents in bed this morning. I told Dad once I stop getting asked if he is my "older brother" he can

finally "feel" 50! I just hope I age as gracefully.
